Manufacturing Process

Bar Stock Incoming

EN8/EN24/EN31 bar with MTC; diameter and straightness check; hardness spot-test per heat

Rough Turning

CNC turning to within 0.5mm of finish; centres drilled for between-centres grinding

Heat Treatment

Through-hardening or case-hardening per drawing; hardness check after treatment (HRC 40–55)

Finish Turning & Milling

Finish turn to h6 tolerance; keyways/splines milled; threads cut; all dimensions first-off inspected

Cylindrical Grinding

Journal diameters ground to h5/h6 tolerance (Ra 0.8); runout < 0.01mm checked on V-blocks

Final Inspection

Full dimensional report: all diameters, keyways, threads, runout, surface finish; hardness certificate
