Material Incoming

EN8/EN24 bar stock received with MTC; PMI/XRF verification; hardness sampling per heat

Rough Machining

Turning/milling clamp body to within 1mm of finish dimensions; stress relief if required

Heat Treatment

Induction hardening of jaw contact surfaces to HRC 45–52; hardness verified after quench & temper

Finish Machining

Final CNC turning/milling to drawing tolerance (±0.05mm on contact surfaces)

Surface Treatment

Shot blasting Sa 2.5 + epoxy primer 40µm + finish coat 60µm, or hot-dip galvanising per IS 2629

Functional Testing

Load test to 1.5× rated clamping force; jaw travel and spring-back checked; dimensional report issued
